MCD GOVERNANCE
Board of Directors

The Conservancy Court appoints Miami Conservancy District's Board of Directors, whose three members serve staggered five-year terms. The Board meets quarterly to establish District policy and provide oversight and direction to the Board-appointed General Manager. It is the General Manager’s responsibility to implement Board policy and run the day-to-day operations of the District. Miami Conservancy District employs 46 full-time, year-round staff and several seasonal and temporary staff to achieve its mission.

 

William Lukens

William Lukens is the President, CEO and Owner of Stillwater Technologies in Troy, Ohio.

Mr. Lukens received his bachelor of science degree from Miami University in 1964. He is very active in the community serving on numerous boards, including the Community Improvement Corporation in Troy, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, Edison Community College Foundation, Area Seven Workforce Investment Board and the Governor’s Manufacturing Workforce Advisory Board.

 
Gayle B. Price

Gayle Price, Jr. served as Chairman and CEO of Price Brothers Company in Dayton, Ohio. Price Brothers Company is a manufacturer and distributor of construction materials primarily for the water utility industry. Mr. Price retired from Price Brothers in 1998.

Mr. Price received his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Princeton University and attended Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. He served as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955.

Mr. Price has served on the boards of Bank One and Reynolds and Reynolds, and he is a past chair of the United Way Campaign and the Area Progress Council. Mr. Price served on the River Corridor Committee from 1969-1984, and was its Chairman from 1979-1986. In the 1980s, he also served as Chairman of the American Concrete Pressure Pipe Association.

In 2007, Mr. Price authored a book on flood protection in the Miami Valley, titled, "How Safe Are We?"

 
Mark G. Rentschler

Mark G. Rentschler is a life-long resident of Hamilton, Ohio, and serves as Marketing Manager for Makino, Inc. in Mason, Ohio.

Mr. Rentschler is a graduate of Washington and Lee University with a double major in European History and German.

He is the past president of the Board of Trustees of the Hamilton Boys and Girls Club and past president of the Ohio Regional Council  of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He is the fifth member of his family to serve on MCD’s Board of Directors.
